Pre OP tomorrow

I have paper work to fill out before my deep brain stimulation surgery. I also have to change my do not resuscitate order. If something were to happen they need to go ahead and bring the kid back. (That's me!) I filled out the order a long time ago. I guess my Roman Catholic sense of morals say one thing but reality says something else. In any case I don't want to be half brain dead.

Hopefully the surgery will help me a lot.

On Wensday, the day of the surgery, I will get an MRI. Then I will get pain medication. I will be awake the entire time for the fist part of the surgery. They need my input.

I will thankfully be asleep for the second part of the surgery. They will install a control device in my chest. Just call me robot.

I am having second thoughts now that the surgery approaches but my mind is made up. I am accepting all the help I can get.

Should I still get the surgery?

I am not really anxious to get the brain surgery on the 3 but I think it might help me a lot. I know I shouldn't get my hopes up but I would love to drive again. I would also like to type again. I type one handed now. My tremors are aggravating. If I can get some kind of help with them I would be grateful I think at this point I am ready to try anything.

My major concern right now is a possible conflict with my MS medication and the surgery. There have been problems with Tysabri and people with weekend immune systems. It was even taken of the market temporarily. Now you can only get it with close supervision. I am in a Dr's office when I take it. Right now I am confused I can't get anyone to return my calls.

Where is that thing at?

I'm looking for the paper with the date on it that I have to fill out the paperwork so I can get this BRAIN SURGERY. I think the date might conflict with the date of my Tysabri infusion. I need to speak with my neuroligist to make sure The surgery can even be done while I'm on Tysabri. I think she knows but I want to be sure. People with weakend imune systems have died on Tysabri.

My Ms log

Sorry I have not updated my blog on Friday like I said I would. I was online all Friday too. I think I was playing chess. I did make some improvements. I have posted some Multiple Sclerosis related videos that might be interesting. I haven't watched them all.

My ms seems to have become more manageable after my new tysabri infusion but I have not gotten as much relief from my symptoms as I was hoping to get. I hope the surgery I am scheduled to get goes well.

In my personal life I celebrated my daughters 13 birthday by going out to eat and going to a movie. My mother my niece, my daughter ,my daughters Friend Ashley and me ate at the Olive Garden. It has been my daughters favorite restraint since we ate there on Father's Day 2002.

We went to see the Nanny Dairy's after we ate. I didn't like the movie. I haven't asked my daughter what she thought but i don't think she liked it either. At least she got to spend the night at her Friend Ashleys' house.

I'm mad again. I was trying to get a slideshow for my blog. I can't get it to work. I ended up erasing my picture and I... I just thoaght about how I can get my picture back. I have it on my flickr acount.

I am tired now so I will have to do it tomorrow. I want to use a slideshow anyway. I almost got it to work but they were'nt my pictures so I erased it. I will get It eventualy.

My very small but very important readers will be plesed to know that I have a rss feed now. I'm big time! Now I just need the slide show and adsence. I don't think that therre is really anybody reading my blog but.....MONEY is MONEY!
